Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) is an umbrella term used to describe the numerous martial art forms that originated in the Philippines which include (but not limited) to Panantukan (empty-handed/dirty boxing techniques), Eskrima/Kali/Arnis de Máno (blade and stick fighting) and Dumog (grappling).
Philippines sorted history has lead to the development of a society that has more cultural influences than any other country in the world. This diversity can be seen in its people, its language and in its combat systems. FMA, the “system-of-systems” transformed itself as a direct result of an appreciation of their ever changing environment and circumstances.
